Corkins Carries Momentum Into Break

Hoyt Corkins was down to his last 35,000 when he raised in early position. Richard Brodie made it three bets, and Corkins called. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and the player got all the money in.

Brodie: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Corkins: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Brodie shot his arms into the air and exclaimed "Seriously!" when he saw that Corkins had sucked out on him. The turn and river came {4-Spades} and {q-Spades}, and Corkins doubled up. Corkins has since won two more pots, and has upped his stack to over 100,000 again.
