Alaei Hit the Rail After Missing Royal-Flush Draw

A player in the cutoff raised and Daniel Alaei, who was in the small blind, decided to commit his stack of 4,300. The cutoff made the call and Alaei soon discovered that he was ahead.

Cutoff: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Alaei: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

While Alaei was looking good preflop, the {J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop quickly changed that, flopping his opponent two pair; however, Alaei did have a royal-flush draw. The {7-Clubs} turn was no help, leaving Alaei drawing to a ten or diamond on the river. The dealer burned and slowly revealed the {K-Spades}. It was no help to Alaei and he was eliminated from the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship.
