Raymer Down... Then Up Again

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, a player in early position bet 650 and Greg Raymer called. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the early position player bet 1,650 with Raymer again just calling. The river was the {8-Hearts} and again the early position player led out, this time for 4,800 and Raymer let it go. He was down to just 9,000 at that point.

Only a few hands later though, he got it back when he called the all in of Jon Fleets. Fleets had {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Raymer had {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and the board ran out {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts} to give Raymer the win and put him back up to around 18,500.
