After the action folded around to him in the small blind, Emil Patel raised the pot and made it 60,000 to go. Juha Vilkki announced a re-pot and pushed 180,000 into the middle.

Button Raises Take First Two Pots

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Back from break, our first two hands were decided with single raises from the player on the button. Elie Payan made it 52,000 to go and the blinds mucked in our first hand.

On the next deal, Stephen Wolfe also popped it to 52,000 from the button and dragged the blinds his way.

Payan Begins Punishing With Re-Pot

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

After Rafe Kibrit made a preflop raise to 55,000, Elie "Punisher934" Payan announced "re-pot" and pushed 201,000 into the middle. Kibrit mucked his cards and Payan seems to have opened up his game after returning from the recent dinner break, taking two of the first three pots with preflop aggression.

Sands Doubles Through Patel

David Sands is all smiles after the double
David Sands is all smiles after the double

Action moved to David Sands in the cutoff seat and he raised the pot to 84,000. Emil Patel was on the button and reraised the pot to 288,000. Action folded back to Sands and he called all in for 141,000 total. Hands please.

Sands turned over the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Patel held the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The flop, turn and river ran out {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to give Sands a full house and allow him to double up.

Payan's Turn to Double Through Patel

Just one hand after he doubled up David Sands, Emil Patel was back in action doubling up Elie Payan. Here's how it went down.

Patel raised to 48,000 from the cutoff seat and Payan called from the big blind to see the flop come down {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Payan bet 62,000 with 309,000 behind and Patel studied. Eventually he raised to 154,000. Payan took his own time, about a minute, and then reraised all in for 371,000 total. Patel called.

Patel: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Payan: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Both players held the same hand currently and each had a diamond flush draw. Payan's flush draw was a bit better.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river the {9-Diamonds} to give Payan the winning diamond flush and double him up.
