Alexandre Luneau made it two bets after Jim Paluszek had completed on third. Paluszek led out on fourth but once both players made open pairs it was Luneau who fired every street, Paluszek finally folding on seventh as the Frenchman who hit a one-outer yesterday to stay in this tournament picked up another pot.
We just found Barry Greenstein all in and at risk against Men Nguyen. Barry held a pair of 10s plus a flush draw and inside straight draw going into seventh while Nguyen had two pair, sevens and fives. Greenstein squeezed a three to give him two pair, 10s up. Nguyen couldn’t fill up as he squeezed the which gave Greenstein the double up and avoided him having to sign a copy of his book off to Nguyen.
We caught up with the action on fifth where Brian Hastings bet and Ville Wahlbeck called. The action was the same on sixth but on seventh, Hastings check-called Wahlbeck’s bet. Wahlbeck showed two pair which was good as Hastings mucked and Wahlbeck continued to climb towards the top of the leaderboard.
Raymond Dehkarghani fired a bet out on fifth when it was checked to him, but both Hasan Habib and Steve Zolotow made the call. Dehkarghani then made open deuces and bet again, but was called by the other two again. Dehkarghani fired one last time and Habib called, Zolotow then rechecked his cards before electing to much.
We couldn't make out exactly what Dehkarghani said but he then mucked when Habib flipped for two pair which was good.
Matt Glantz raised on third and Cory Zeidman called. On the next three streets, Glantz continued to bet and Zeidman continued to call. Finally on seventh, Glantz bet once more but Ziedman finally folded.
We found Cyndy Violette all in on fourth street against Steve Zolotow who ended making two pair, nines and sixed. However Violette held a higher two pair, queens and tens, and doubled up but is still short.
Humberto Brenes bet on fifth street with Ville Wahlbeck and Erick Lindgren both calling before it was checked to Wahlbeck on sixth street and the Finn bet, again getting called twice. On seventh, it was Brenes who checked, Wahlbeck bet and Lindgren made the call, Brenes tanked before making the overcall and Wahlbeck turned over for a straight to scoop.
First, we overheard Allen Kessler, Tom Dwan and Nick Schulman discussing a prop bet involving how many players the $5,000 shootout would get. Then as we went to check in on some other tables, we saw Kessler leaving his seat and we can confirm that he has been eliminated.
