Alexander Kostritsyn Eliminated in 5th Place ($72,627)

Alexander Kostritsyn had just managed to double up when his kings held against Steve Landfish’s tens but Kostritsyn was soon all in again and at risk.

Kostritsyn: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {9-Clubs}
Troy: {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} / {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {Q-Diamonds}

Kostritsyn was all in and ahead on fifth with a pair of kings against the queens of Maxwell Troy. Sixth didn’t improve either player but Troy hit the worst card that Kostritsyn could have asked for on seventh, the {Q-Diamonds} to give Troy trips. Kostritsyn was down to two outs for his tournament life, one of the two remaining kings. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t hit a king and was eliminated while Troy crossed the million chip mark.
