Cody Gets it In
Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 48,000, his standard raise at this level. Jake Cody responded with a three-bet to 145,000, and a darty-eyed Timoshenko spent a few moments considering before flicking the call into the pot.
The flop came out , and Cody knocked the table. Timoshenko stared blankly at the board for another 30 seconds or so, then checked it back. The landed on fourth street, and Cody put out a delayed continuation bet of 177,000. Timoshenko studied, then called.
There was more than 600,000 in the pot as the dealer put the down on the river. It was a blank, and Cody wasn't slowing down now. He gathered all 860,000 of his chips and slid them across the imaginary betting line, overbetting the pot and putting the decision on Timoshenko. He made it rather quickly, folding without incident to let Cody chip back into this match.
He's just about 200,000 chips behind Timoshenko now.
