John Gordon Eliminated in 7th Place ($28,741)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
John Gordon - 7th Place
John Gordon - 7th Place

From the button, John Gordon moved all in for 24,000 and Mika Paasonen made the call.

Gordon: {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Paasonen: {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

With Gordon in the lead, the {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop kept him that way as the {J-Clubs} landed on the turn to give Paasonen outs to a gutshot to go along with his live cards.

Unfortunately for the Clearwater, Florida native, the river landed the {10-Diamonds} to end his tournament in seventh place for a $28,741 payday.

Paasonen Stacks It Up with Nines

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

John Gordon entered the pot from the cutoff with a raise to 58,000 only to have Mika Paasonen raise to 140,000. Once the action returned to Gordon, he moved all in and Paasonen made the call for his last 10,000.

Gordon: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Paasonen: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Fortunately for the at-risk Paasonen, the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} to see him move to 324,000 as Gordon is left with barely enough to cover the small blind.

Turn Bet Win for Eslami

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Ali Eslami limped in under the gun as Brian Rast, Allen Kessler and John Gordon all came along for the minimum to see a {J-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop fall.

Eslami fired out a bet of 50,000 which only Rast called before the {Q-Spades} on the turn was greeted by an Eslami bet of 120,000 - while leaving himself just a single 1,000-denomination chip to cap his cards.

Rast passed, and Eslami collected the pot to move to 320,000 in chips.

Dajuan Doubles

Dajuan Whorley opened to 48,000 only to have John Gordon three-bet his button to 123,000. Whorley made the call, and when the {9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop was spread, he moved all in for his final 96,000.

Gordon deliberated for a few moments before making the call to put Whorley at risk.

Gordon: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Whorley: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {7-Spades} and {9-Spades} to see Whorley rake in the double to move to 450,000 as Gordon slips to 200,000 in chips.
