Jeremy Heartberg Eliminated in 11th Place ($14,388)

Jeremy Heartberg
Jeremy Heartberg

Shawn Keller raised from under the gun and Jeremy Heartberg three-bet from the small blind. Keller made the call and called Heartberg’s bet on the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Spades} flop as well. On the {5-Spades} turn, Heartberg led out and Keller raised. Heartberg raised once more and was all in. Keller called and showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for trips. Heartberg held {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and would need a seven or a spade on the river to avoid elimination Unfortunately for him, the river was the {A-Hearts} which made Keller quads and sent Heartberg to the rail as the unofficial final table bubble boy.

The players will quickly reconvene over at the TV table in the back right of the Amazon Room to play out the final table.

Dmitry Gromov Freefalls, Eliminated in 12th place ($14,388)

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Dmitry Gromov
Dmitry Gromov

Earlier we reported on Dmitry Gromov getting his aces cracked and not being happy about it. But now he is very upset, after losing the rest of his chips in three straight hands. First, we came to the table as the board read {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Gromov had just check raised Shawn Keller, and Keller came back by putting in a third bet. Gromov called, and also called when Keller bet the {7-Clubs} on the river. Keller showed {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a turned set, and Gromov angrily showed {q-}{q-}.

On the next hand, Gromov raised and Matt Sterling, the shorter stack, three bet. Gromov called, and Sterling got the rest of his chips in after the flop {2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Gromov: {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Sterling: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The turn and river came {3-Spades} and {3-Hearts}, and Sterling doubled up to cripple Gromov even further. On the next hand, he got the last of his chips in preflop against Mitch Schock, and Gromov was in a dominating position.

Gromov: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Schock: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Gromov stood up and in a joking/angry manner asked the dealer for a queen and, well, he got what he asked for. The flop came {2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and Gromov continued to curse at the dealer in Russian. The turn and river came {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Gromov stormed off, yelling more Russian bad sounding words as he left.

Victor Ramdin Eliminated in 13th Place ($11,288)

Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

First on a {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, Andrew Brongo and Victor Ramdin both checked. Ramdin called both of Brongo’s bets on the {8-Clubs} turn and {5-Clubs} river only to be shown the trips of Brongo who had {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} while Ramdin mucked {A-}{10-}. This left Ramdin with only 40,000.

Then on a {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, Ramdin bet and Leo Labbe called. Ramdin moved all in when the {10-Clubs} hit the turn and after some deliberation, Labbe finally made the call. Victor was in the lead with {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair against Labbe’s {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for two overs and a straight draw. However the {A-Spades} landed on the river which gave Labbe a bigger pair and eliminated Ramdin.

Heartberg Cracks Aces to Double Up

Dmitry Gromov raised under the gun and Jeremy Heartberg three bet. Gromov made it four bets, and Heartberg called. The flop looked to provide plenty of action as it came {10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}, and sure enough it did, as the two got in a raising war that ended with Heartberg getting his chips in the middle.

Heartberg: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Gromov: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Amazingly, neither player had a heart, as Gromov flopped top set but Heartberg had flopped broadway. Heartberg needed to fade the board pairing, and he did that as it came {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Heartberg doubled up to 120,000. Gromov, understandably upset that his aces had been cracked, began to say what sounded like some not so happy russian words, as he dropped to 170,000 after the hand.

Michael Shiffman Eliminated in 14th Place ($11,288)

Mike Schiffman
Mike Schiffman

Shawn Keller raised under the gun, and Michael Shiffman decided it was time to take a stand, three betting nearly his entire stack with just 3,000. It folded back around to Keller, who made the call, and the players saw a flop of {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Schiffman tossed his last 3,000 in, and Keller called.

Keller: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Shiffman: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The turn brough the {a-Clubs}, giving Keller top pair but Shiffman a flush draw. He didn't catch it on the river, coming the {j-Diamonds}, and Keller scooped the pot and scored the knockout.

Three in a Row for Brongo

Tyler Bonkowski raised and was three-bet by Andrew Brongo preflop. Bonkowski called and both players checked the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-} flop. Bonkowski check-called Brongo’s bet on the {Q-Diamonds} turn but folded to Brongo’s bet when the {A-Clubs} hit the river.

The next hand Bonkowski raised again preflop only to be three-bet by Brongo once more. Bronkowski called and both players checked all three streets on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board. Brongo showed {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} which was good as Bonkowski showed a lesser {A-}{X-} before he mucked.

Finally, Ron Burke raised preflop and was answered with another three-bet from Brongo. Burke got out of the way and just like that Brongo took down three consecutive pots.
