Shaun Deeb Eliminated in 18th Place ($20,564)

Level 20 : 8,000/15,000, 0 ante
Shaun Deeb - 18th place
Shaun Deeb - 18th place

Mikael Thuritz raised before the flop, and Shaun Deeb called from the big blind to go heads-up.

It came {Q-Spades} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades}, and Deeb check-called a bet. On the {10-Clubs} turn, though, he led out, and Thuritz was the one doing the calling. On the river, the {J-Clubs} filled out the board, and Deeb had just one bet left. He thought for just a moment before sticking it in there, and Thuritz quickly called.

"Straight," Deeb announced, and it was no good. Thuritz's {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} appeared on the other side of the felt, followed by the {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} as the best four-card hand. Deeb dropped his cards down onto the table with a frustrated sigh, then quickly asked where to get his cashout ticket. It'll be worth just more than $20,000.
