We have just confirmed with the WSOP tournament staff that the official number of players in this year's $1,500 Six Handed No Limit Handed event is 1,920 - the biggest tournament of the series to date. No doubt that we'll get bigger numbers over the next couple of weeks, but it's still a significant increase from the same event last year, which had 1,663 players.
At present, there are 890 players remaining, but unfortunately, Kirk Morrison is not one on them. Having run pocket threes into pocket sevens in an earlier hand, Morrison moved the last of his stack into the middle with 
but failed to improve against Brent Hanks'
