Low Swept Away

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

David Low limped in for 3,000 and Joshua McBroom raised to 7,500. With action back on Low he committed his final 56, 000 and McBroom called.

Low: {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
McBroom: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board fell {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} one of the worst flops Low can see. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn had low drawing dead and the {k-Diamonds} fell on the river.

McBroom scooped up a big pot for over 50,000.

That Was Easy

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

One of the more amusing aspects of the featured table in this event comes in the form of Joseph Zeman's "Easy Button." The iconic red button made popular by a office supply company is sitting right behind Zeman's stack of chips. He recently won a three handed pot after the other players folded on the flop. As he raked in the chips he hit the button which proclaimed, "That was easy!"

Zeman is still near the top of the chip counts.

Quach Victorious over Alashkar Not Once, But Twice

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We arrived at the table to catch Alashkar calling the call in of Quach.

Alashkar: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Quach: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The board fell {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} and Quach's pair of threes was enough to scoop the pot. This pot put Quach around 70,000.

Not more than 5 minutes later on a board of {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} Alashkar announced he was all in while heads up against Quach. Quach instantly called and turned up {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. "Good hand" remarked Alashkar, who turned up {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The {Q-Diamonds} turned, giving Quach a set who fist pumped as the irrelevant {K-Diamonds} fell on the river. Quach is now sitting with 142,000.

Podobnik Doubles Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a blind vs. blind situation, Edward Marcus raised to 15,000 and John Podobnik answered by re-raising all in for his last 42,000. Marcus made the call and saw that his {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} was dominated heading into the flop against Podobnik's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, giving Podobnik two pair and the pot worth about 90,000.

"Ship it!"

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The action folded around to Joshua McBroom in the small blind who pushed his entire stack of 33,000 into the middle. In the big blind, Michael Barela deliberated.

"Why do I think you're trying to make a move on me?" asked Barela. Barela then went with his read and made the call, tabling {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. McBroom meekly turned over {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. When the {8-Diamonds} came on the turn, the river was rendered irrelevant and McBroom hit the rail.

Michael Barela is up to 185,000 and wanted to use this opportunity through the live updates to express his love for Christine.
