Doubling Direnzo

We haven't talked much about Gianni Direnzo today, but we found him opening a pot to 350,000 from early position. Dag Palovic moved all in for 2.4 million behind him, and Direnzo considered for about twenty or thirty seconds before calling all in for his own last 1.255 million. Cards on their backs, gents:

Direnzo: {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Palovic: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}

Another big-pair-versus-big-pair clash here deep in the Main Event. It was a bad spot for Palovic obviously, and the {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} flop pretty much ended things right there. The turn and river came {7-Spades} and {7-Clubs}, and Direnzo hit the jackpot. He's up to 2.75 million now, while Palovic has slipped to 1.145 million.
