More Chips for Eskandar

Matthew Berkey raised from the hijack seat to 115,000. Michael Mizrachi called from the cutoff and Patrick Eskandar called from the small blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Eskandar led out with a bet of 210,000. Only Berkey made the call.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Eskandar fired 420,000. Berkey mucked and Eskandar added more chips to move up to about 6.6 million.

Armbrust Two-Outered To The Rail

John Armbrust Eliminated
John Armbrust Eliminated

From under the gun, John Armbrust made it 125,000 to play and the table folded around to Redmond Lee on the button who declared himself all in. Armbrust made the call.

Armbrust: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Lee: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The flop was a rather dull-looking {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} but that was not a sign of things to come.

The dealer paused for dramatic effect before he burned and turned the {A-Hearts} to give Armbrust a pair of aces as Lee threw his head back in dismay as he realized there were only two cards in the deck to help him.

The fans on the rail took a step closer and....BOOM the dealer flipped the {J-Spades} on the river! Lee spiked his set to take the pot as he celebrated with his support crew on the rail, leaving Armbrust to make the walk to the cashier to collect his $114,205 pay day.

It's Pronounced "Meenakshi Subramaniam"

Meenakshi Subramaniam
Meenakshi Subramaniam

Meenakshi "copy-and-paste" Subramaniam has just been eliminated from the Main Event, so you can stop practicing how to pronounce his name.

We caught up with the action on the turn with the board showing {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {J-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. Cuong Nguyen bet 325,000, and Subramaniam raised to 800,000 straight. Nguyen called, and the {A-Clubs} filled out the board. Subramaniam moved all in for about 900,000, and Nguyen made the call to put him at risk.

Subramaniam probably knew his {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} was beat when his opponent called. Sure enough, Nguyen tabled {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} for three pair, earning himself the pot and the knockout.

Kings Beat Tens

Theo Jorgensen

Eric Baldwin checked the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} to Theo Jorgensen. He fired 375,000 and Baldwin made the call.

The turn added the {Q-Spades} to the board and both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} fall on the river. Baldwin fired 620,000 and Jorgensen made the call.

Jorgensen held the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} to beat Baldwin's {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and win the pot. He's now up to 10.75 million and Baldwin dropped to 1.67 million.

Toestesen Not Mucking Around

Alexander Kostritsyn seems to be in the middle of every pot on the secondary feature table, and he was in the thick of it again when he opened to 125,000 from middle position. Evan Lamprea made the call in the hijack before Jakob Toestesen put on the squeeze to make it 425,000 to go from the big blind. Kostritsyn made the call as Lamprea stepped aside.

The flop landed {8-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Toestesen didn't muck around as he moved all in at the million-plus pot. Kostritsyn thought for a moment but released as Toestesen took down the pot. He's up to 3.6 million with Kostritsyn down to 3.5 million.

Jetten Drinking Double

John Dolan raised to 115,000 to open the pot, and Edward Ochana made the call. Peter Jetten looked down at {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}, though, and he moved all in for 780,000 from the big blind. Dolan tank-called, and that was enough to fold Ochana and get himself heads up with a chance for the knockout. He turned over {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, and Jetten was five cards from a double up.

The board ran {2-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Spades} {6-Diamonds}, and that kept Jetten's overpair ahead. He's found his way up to 1.7 million, while Dolan has fallen back to 1.4 million.
