Heimiller Loses with/to AmichaiKK

Daniel "AmichaiKK" Makowsky raised on the button, and Dan Heimiller in the small blind three-bet. Makowsky added another 12,000 on top, and Heimiller raised yet again. Then Makowsky shoved. "Wow, wow. I don't like this one bit," Heimiller said. "But I have to call. We're too far from the money not to call." And it played out just as he expected.

Heimiller: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Makowsky: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The board came an uninteresting {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}. Everyone at the table thought Makowsky had him covered, but Heimiller calmly counted out all of his chips. "You just can't stretch it," said one of his tablemates. And indeed, he couldn't. Heimiller's 132,000 all went to Makowsky, putting him up to 305,000. "All that money behind, and you just couldn't get away from it," said the same player. "Nice playing with you." We don't blame Heimiller for not agreeing.

Benyamine Holding Steady

David Benyamine has been holding steady for most of the day. We just saw him take a 20,000-chip pot after he and his opponent both checked the river with the board showing {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Benyamine showed {A-Spades}{6-Spades}, and that was best as his opponent mucked.

Benyamine is at 205,000 right now.

Diamonds For Dunst

Tony Dunst
Tony Dunst

There was a board of {A-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} spread in the middle of the table when we walked up, and Tony Dunst was betting 44,000 into a pot of about 50,000. He was up against Jason Mann, and Mann called to see what was what. Dunst showed him {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for the ace-high flush, and that won him a pile of chips to boost his stack to 342,000.

The Boy Who Cried de Wolfe

There were three players in a pot of about 37,000 and a board reading {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Two players checked to Roland de Wolfe in the cutoff who bet 20,000. He received a call from one player and the {9-Clubs} came on the river.

His opponent checked, de Wolfe bet 30,000 and the other player check-raised all in. De Wolfe called for his tournament life and was eliminated when his opponent turned over {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Mizrachi Wins Modest Pot

ESPN had been filming a hand over at Michael Mizrachi's table and were about to leave when the Grinder announced, "Don't go away, I've got another hand." The cameras stuck around and Mizrachi raised to 4,100 from under the gun. He was called by a player in middle position.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts} and both players checked. They also checked through the {a-Clubs} on the turn, but when the river came {2-Spades} Mizrachi bet 5,000 and got the call.

Mizrachi tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and his opponent mucked.

Billirakis Outraces Hamby

With a raise from Steve Billirakis and a re-raise in front of him, Jared Hamby decided to ship it all in for his 57,000-chip stack. Billirakis made the call.

Billirakis: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Hamby: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The race was on but the board bricked out {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} to leave Billirakis' pair in front. Hamby is eliminated as Billirakis is now up to 185,000 chips.

Schoenberg Sinking

Schoen the way
Schoen the way

A gentleman raised to 3,200 in early position only for Erica Schoenberg to make it 6,500 in the cutoff. The player in the big blind called, the original raiser folded, and they were heads up at the flop.

Flop: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The player in the big blind checked to Schoenberg who bet 8,000. He called, and they were at the turn.

Turn: {8-Hearts}

Mr. Big Blind checked again, and this time Schoenberg checked behind. They saw the river.

River: {6-Clubs}

Mr. Big Blind now bet out 16,000, and without further ado, Schoenberg folded, leaving herself with 48,000.
