A curious hand for Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer, who raised in early position and got a call from the gentleman in the big blind. The two of them checked down the flop and the turn. They saw a river and Mr. Big Blind now bet out 3,000 - roughly twice the pot - forcing a fold from Danzer.
The German Team Pro won't miss those few chips too much though - he's doing just fine on 42,500.
A player in the cutoff bet 800, and Eddy Sabat raised to 2,100 from the button. The blinds got out, and the original raiser reraised to 6,800. Sabat then made it 12,000, at which point his opponent let it go.
As the chips were pushed Sabat's way, he showed his hand -- -offsuit!
Andreas Hoivold - as poker legend has it, the owner of the largest comic book collection in Norway - was rather short-stacked earlier, but seems to be making a bit of a recovery. We found him betting out 1,600 on the turn of a board. It was enough to make his opponent fold, and Hoivold rallied to 14,000.
With the board reading , Andy Bloch's bet of 2,000 received a call from one opponent and chased away two others.
The hit the turn and Bloch bet 4,000. The opponent studied Bloch, looking at him for about a minute before raising to 25,000. With only about 12,000 behind, Bloch made the all-in call, tabling . His opponent's eyes rolled to the back of his head, turning over .
No one-outer appeared, as the river was the . Bloch upped his stack to about 52,000.
Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy was just eliminated when he pocket tens went down to an opponent's . All of the money went in on the turn of a board reading . The river failed to pair the board for Josephy and he was eliminated from the tournament.
There was about 16,800 in the pot with a board reading when Shawn Sheikhan bet 3,000. His sole opponent in Seat 10 then moved all in for 16,450.
Sheikhan didn't seem happy with the raise and went into the tank. After a couple minutes, Sheikhan asked, "What do you got?" He received no response and tanked for a couple more minutes. "I'm not used to laying down sets," he explained.
Sheikhan tanked for a little while longer before announcing, "Call." Seat 10 immediately flipped over for a straight and Sheikhan mucked in frustration. He is down to just 6,200.
Facing a raise to 1,050, David Benyamine three-bet from the cutoff to 3,300.
With the action back on the original raiser, he made it 8,050 to go, only to have Benyamine grab a stack of chips and dump them in the pot to effectively put his opponent all in.
Benyamine's opponent obliged by making the call for his last 16,000, and we were off to a showdown.

The board ran out to see Benyamine eliminate his opponent and collect the pot to move to 72,000 in chips.
A player under the gun limped, a middle position player called, and it folded around to the blinds. The small blind called, and Khamsy Nuanmanee checked from the big blind.
The flop came . It checked to the UTG player who bet 750, the middle position player called, as did Nuanmanee. The turn was the . Nuanmanee checked, the UTG player bet 2,200, and the third player folded. Nuanmanee leaned over to get a look at how much the bettor had left behind -- about 9,000. She then check-raised to 6,125.
That sent her opponent into deep contemplation for about four minutes before finally he pushed his cards away. Nuanmanee has moved up to 132,000, still the biggest stack we've seen thus far today.
We got to Andy Bloch's table to him in the big blind and involved in a pot with four other players - the small blind, cutoff and button.
All four players checked the flop. When the came on the river, the small blind bet 1,850 and Bloch called. The player in the cutoff raised to 7,000 and the player in the button got out of the way before the small blind announced he was all in for about 28,000. Bloch folded, but the cutoff called for his last 20,000.
