Brenes Doubles Through Hawkins Again

Humberto Brenes has just picked up his second double up in as many orbits, and it once again came courtesy of Brian Hawkins. And once again, it was ace-queen that Humberto had to fade to stay alive.

This time, Brenes opened the pot to 1,700 with {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}, and Hawkins made it 4,200 with {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}. Brenes put the rest of his chips into the pot on a small reraise, and the cards were on their backs. Brenes' pocket pair held up to win the race on a board of {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {4-Clubs}, doubling him up to 11,500. Hawkins is now starting to get in trouble himself, down to 5,750.
