Racener Speeds Ahead

John Racener
John Racener

John Racener raised to 5,600 from middle position, and Ludovic Lacay and Brian Rast both called to see a three-handed flop.

It came down {7-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}, and the table checked to Rast. He fired out 13,500 only to see Racener check-raise to 60,000 straight. That folded Lacay, but Rast called to see a turn card.

It was the {8-Clubs}, and Racener led out with a covering all-in shove. Rast called all in for 68,000, and he was at risk of elimination as the cards were turned up:

Racener: {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}
Rast: {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {7-Clubs}

It was two pair for Rast that had him in the lead, but Racener had a myriad of river outs for the knockout. The {2-Clubs} that filled out the board was one of those out, and his aces up deal a crushing blow to Rast, running him out of the room.

Racener is all the way up to 360,000 after that big pot.
