Darcourt Gives Back Half a Million

Multi-way flops are exceedingly rare now, but Guillaume Darcourt, Jon Eaton and Ryan Welch were all involved in a three-way flop of {7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Darcourt checked to Eaton, who fired a bet of 116,000. Welch and Darcourt both called to see the {9-Hearts} come on the turn. Again Darcourt checked. Again Eaton fired a bet, this time making it 290,000. That was enough to fold Welch but Darcourt called. Both players checked the {8-Diamonds} river. Eaton's set of treys took down the pot.

Raise It and Take It

That last break seems to have calmed down our final six players quite a bit. Almost every pot since the break has been a raise-it-and-take-it affair. Of course, the players are all quite deep for this stage of the game (the average stack is about 48 big blinds) so their caution may be a function of that fact.

Welch Doesn't Sweat a Double

Ryan Welch called from the big blind after Sergey Lebedev opened for 54,000. The board was three well-connected middle cards, {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Welch led into Lebedev for 100,000, then pushed all in for 894,000 after Lebedev raised to 270,000. Lebedev quickly called with top pair, {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, but had to sweat the double draw of Welch's {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The {3-Hearts} immediately hit the turn, improving Welch to the nut flush and leaving Lebedev drawing dead. He paid off the double-up after the river came {7-Clubs}.

Two Bullets Enough for Craig

The man with two first names, Bradley Craig, was in the small blind for a button raise by to 65,000 by Ryan Welch. He called the raise, as did big blind Guillaume Darcourt. The three players took a flop of {8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Craig, with first action, led out for 155,000. Only Darcourt called. When the turned paired kings, {k-Hearts}, Craig's bet of 273,000 took down the pot.

Darcourt Keeps Getting In There

Guillaume Darcourt is playing lots of pots at this final table. He was in there again, this time in position, after Ryan Welch opened for 62,000. Welch continued for 81,000 on a board of {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and again was called by Darcourt. When the turn paired the board {8-Hearts}, Welch checked. Darcourt fired out a bet of 183,000, which was enough to win the pot.

Craig Pushes Out Darcourt

From the button, Bradley Craig raised to 59,000, and small blind Guillaume Darcourt came along with him to a heads-up flop.

It brought {6-Clubs} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs}, and Darcourt checked. He called a continuation bet of 118,000 from Craig, and he checked again on the {3-Diamonds} turn. Craig announced an all in for 505,000 total, and Darcourt tank-folded, removing his dark glasses to take a better look before releasing his cards into the muck.
