Singer Makes the Call
The floor was just called to David Singer's table. Singer's opponent bet 2,800 on the river, and Singer called, tossing out 2,300. The other player turned up his hand, and Singer went to muck since he couldn't beat it. But when the dealer tried to get the other 500 out of him, Singer said he thought the dealer had announced the bet as 2,300. The floor ruled that Singer had to pay the full amount that the player had moved across the line as a bet. And Singer complied after he was allowed to say his piece.
