Nana-Nana-Nana-Nana Waxman!

Matthew Waxman
Matthew Waxman

I love the name Matthew Waxman. He sounds like a Marvel Superhero. I can just picture him now in mask and cape, ridding the world of evil wax and driving around in his waxmobile. Anyhow, I digress. Waxman was just involved in a big pot which resulted in the demise of Woo Shin (another great name).

After raising to 7,200 from the hijack, Shin made the call on the button leading to an {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop. Waxman led for 12,000 and Shin called. On the {K-Hearts} turn, Waxman opted to check, before calling a bet of 32,000. The river then came the {A-Diamonds}, which triggered an all-in from Waxman.

Without hesitation, Shin made the call, but quickly mucked upon being shown {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} for the rivered set. "Was I good on the turn?" probed Waxman. "You can say, you're out." A disgruntled Shin simply shrugged his shoulders and exited stage left.

Waxman may actually be a super hero after all as he's now on a gargantuan 385,000 and second in chips only to Anthony Spinella.
