The Tides Are Changing?

Jack Binon and Phil Ivey.
Jack Binon and Phil Ivey.

The man who is once again the talk of the town, the great Phil Ivey, is back in action here this afternoon as he goes for bracelet number nine!

This afternoon the Pavillion Room was packed as media, friends and fans crammed close to the stage to catch a glimpse of Ivey as he was awarded his eighth bracelet in a presentation ceremony for his win in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E event a few nights ago.

While Ivey is a warm favorite in any field, apparently Annie Duke feels that the wheels might have turned as she rushed to a nearby table to tell friends of the beat she just placed on the great man.

"Oh my god! I just hit a one-outer on Phil Ivey!" yelled an excited Duke. "I had three queens in Omaha, and he had three aces, and I made quads!"

Maybe it's a solar eclipse today or something, but we didn't think it was possible for anyone to hit one-outers on Phil Ivey.
