A Hellmuth Trap Works

Phil Hellmuth is fond of trapping and managed to spring one of his traps against Kendrick Roberts. Hellmuth limped into the pot pre-flop and was called by Stephen Tanner in the small blind. Roberts, sitting in the big blind, then raised to 18,000. Hellmuth re-raised all in for a total of 36,000, chasing Tanner out of the pot. Roberts called with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and found himself up against Hellmuth's {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. The board double-paired, no help to anybody, {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, to give Hellmuth the double-up. He's now at 78,000, while Roberts was crippled to just 6,000 and went out a few hands later.
