A Razz Flop?

Melville Lewis completed with his {6-}, and Maxwell Troy raised to two bets with a {5-} up.

The dealer burned a card and dealt three face-down on board, just about ready to turn over a flop! The players stopped him just before a disastrous exposing of cards, and everything was pulled back to give Lewis a {J-} and Troy a {2-}. Lewis called a bet, but he folded when Troy drew a {3-} on sixth street.

We're Back

Everyone's got two stacks now, one on this table and one over on the HORSE side of the room. We're back in action over here.

Short Break

The clock has been paused while six of our seven players head over to register for the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event that started at 5:00 p.m. tonight.

We'll be back shortly.

Lewis Scoops it Four Ways

Maxwell Troy completed with an ace, and there would be four-way action for the duration.

Troy: (X)(X)/{A-}{Q-}{2-}{5-}/(X)
Rutter: (X)(X)/{A-}{Q-}{8-}{J-}/(X)
Harman: (X)(X)/{5-}{9-}{2-}{7-}/(X)
Lewis: (X)(X)/{3-}{10-}{8-}{5-}/(X)

Jen Harman picked up the lead with her nine on fourth street, and she fired a bet. All three opponents called.

On fifth, everyone checked, and Melville Lewis bet on sixth street. Troy called, while Stuart Rutter and Harman ducked out of the way to let the other two go heads up.

On seventh street, both Lewis and Troy checked, and Troy was already folding his cards under in preparation to muck. Lewis opened up {6-}{4-}{4-}, and Troy moved the last few inches to drop his cards into the muck.

Lewis' eighty-six earns him the pot and a chip-up to 595,000.

Rutter Clips Harman

Stuart Rutter completed and Jennifer Harman made the call.

Rutter checked fourth and Harman fired out 12,000 only to have Rutter check-raise to 24,000. Harman called, but then folded on sixth to a bet from Rutter.

Rutter: (X)(X) / {4-}{2-}{6-}
Harman: (X)(X) / {5-}{3-}{Q-}

Rutter now climbs to 270,000 as Harman slips to around 370,000 in chips.

Chris Bjorin Eliminated in 8th Place ($19,686)

Chris Bjorin - 8th place
Chris Bjorin - 8th place

Chris Bjorin was all in on third street for right around 40,000, and he was drawing against Vladimir Shchemelev for double or nothing.

Both men started strong with Shchemelev's ({A-})({4-})/{2-} leading Bjorin's ({6-})({5-})/{2-}. That's the closest Bjorin would get as Shchemelev's board ran out ({A-})({4-})/{2-} {J-} {5-} {3-}/({10-}) for a wheel.

Bjorin could only improve to a jack-nine low, and that's going to force him out the door in eighth place. He'll take home almost $20,000 for his work over the last three days.

Pispala Gaining Momentum

Maxwell Troy had the bring in, and Frank Kassela completed with a four showing. Mikko Pispala wanted to play, and his six up was worth a call.

Kassela: (X)(X)/{4-} {J-} {7-} {4-}/(X)
Pispala: (X)(X)/{6-} {7-} {10-} {3-}/(X)

Once Pispala picked up the betting lead on fourth street, he fired bullets the whole way through sixth street. Both players slowed down a checked seventh, and Bjorin showed up {5-} {5-} {2-} for a jack-low. Pispala made a seventy-sick with his {8-} {4-} {A-}, taking the pot and further increasing his stack. After a great first half of this level, he's all the way up to about 540,000.

Dee Tiller Eliminated in 9th Place ($15,329)

Dee Tiller - 9th place
Dee Tiller - 9th place

Dee Tiller called Stuart Rutter's bring-in before Mikko Pispala completed for 12,000. Rutter folded but Tiller made the call as fourth street landed.

Pispala bet out, Tiller raised and Pispala re-raised. Tiller slid his last 50,000 into the pot and Pispala made the call as both player's boards ran out as follows:

Tiller: {5-}{3-} / {6-}{7-}{Q-}{2-} / (X)
Pispala: {6-}{3x / {5-}{2-}{5-}{8-} / (X)

Tiller found a {K-} on seventh to keep him in the lead with his seven-six, but unfortunately Pispala found an {A-} to give him a six-five low as Tiller hit the rail in 9th place for a $15,329 payday.

We are now at the final table!

Bjorin Falling Down

Frank Kassela had the bring-in, and Chris Bjorin completed in the next seat over. Jen Harman called, Mikko Pispala raised, and both Bjorin and Harman put in the extra bet to continue in the hand.

Bjorin: (X)(X)/{6-} {10-} {5-} {J-}/(X)
Harman: (X)(X)/{7-} {Q-} {K-} --muck--
Pispala: (X)(X)/{5-} {Q-} {2-} {A-}/(X)

All three players checked on fourth street, and Bjorin fired a bet on fifth. Harman ducked out, but Pispala made the quick call. Bjorin checked sixth street, and Pispala fired out the bet. Bjorin called, and he called one more bet on seventh street to see a showdown.

Pispala opened up {6-} {4-} {4-} and that gave him a very strong six-five-four-two-one. Bjorin shook his head as if he expected that, and he revealed his {4-} {3-} {2-}. Bjorin's six-five-four-three-two was no good, and that loss slips him all the way down around 100,000.

Bjorin has since lost another pot when he folded to a sixth-street bet from Stuart Rutter, further knocking him down to about 60,000.
