Two former WSOP Players of the Year are are now seated next to each other in this event. 2006 Player of the Year Jeff Madsen and 2007 Player of the Year Tom Schneider have identical stacks of 36,000 at the same table. 2009 Player of the Year Jeffrey Lisandro is also still in the tournament but is nursing a very short stack.
Both of the other former Players of the Year started in this field as well. 2005 winner Daniel Negreanu busted yesterday; 2008 winner Erick Lindgren made Day 2 today but busted about an hour ago.
