Another Scoop For Aldridge

Ken Aldrige
Ken Aldrige

Omaha-8

Kenneth Aldridge raised it up before Ryan Hughes made it three bets to go. Aldridge made the call and they saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Aldridge led out with a bet, and again on the {8-Spades} turn and {5-Spades} river with Hughes calling him down.

Aldridge tabled {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the old "nut-nut" for the scoop as Hughes flashed {A-}{2-}{5-}{10-}. Aldridge has started this final table perfectly with another omaha scoop to climb to 780,000 and the chip lead as Hughes slips to 205,000.

Triple Up For Lisandro

Omaha-8

Phil Ivey raised it up with both David Baker and Jeff Lisandro making the call. Lisandro was all in for his last chips.

In side action, Baker check-called Ivey's bets on the flop and turn before both players checked the river on the board of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Ivey showed {Q-}{Q-}{A-}{5-} for kings and queens to win the side pot, as Lisandro showed {9-Hearts}{10-}{10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for rivered trips for the triple up! He's back to 90,000 and has his head above water once again.

Looking The Part

Someone pointed out to us today that it was strange to see Jeff Lisandro not wearing his trademark hat at the table. Well, someone from the crowd has just handed Lisandro a rather unique cap, which he is proudly donning at the table.

It's a baseball cap, and on the front it reads "God is good all the time" and on the back "I (heart) Jesus".

Speaking of fashion, Bill Chen is certainly dressed the part today in a full suit. Apparently some of his friends were getting married today, and we actually spotted a bride and groom sweating the action on the rail a little earlier. Apparently Bill was the wedding planner, so we have to question his planning skills somewhat since he's sitting here, rather than at the wedding reception!

Ivey Finds Another Gear

Razz

It appears to us that Phil Ivey has gone into "Don't Mess With Me" mode. He's been ultra-aggressive in the stud games today and now that he's equipped with chips, he's turning on the afterburners.

In a recent razz hand, Ivey led on fourth, called on fifth before firing again on sixth and seventh streets. His opponent was David Baker who eventually conceded to the pressure and folded on the river.

Ivey: (X-X-X) / {4-}{A-}{J-}{5-}
Baker: (X-X-X) / {2-}{6-}{4-}{6-}

Ivey is now up to 960,000 chips.

Aldridge Catches Good in Razz

Kenneth Aldridge completed with both Ryan Hughes and Chad Brown making the call. Hughes led the betting on fourth, with Brown bricking and folding, as Aldridge came along.

Aldridge caught better on fifth and led out before another bet on sixth was enough to take it down.

Brown: (X-X) / {3-}{J-}
Aldridge: (X-X) / {A-}{4-}{8-}{5-}
Hughes: (X-X) / {3-}{A-}{Q-}{10-}

Aldridge is up to 840,000 with Hughes slipping down to 145,000.

More Chips For Ivey

Razz

John Juanda completed and Phil Ivey made the call. Juanda bet out on fourth, before Ivey check-called on fifth. Ivey took the lead on sixth when Juanda's board paired up and Juanda released.

Ivey: (X-X) / {8-}{9-}{6-}{5-}
Juanda: (X-X) / {8-}{6-}{9-}{8-}

Ivey is now up to 1.16 million (yes, you read that correctly) with Juanda back to 690,000.

Lisandro Doubles Without Showdown

Razz

Jeff Lisandro was the bring-in and he called the completion of Chad Brown. Brown led on fourth with Lisandro calling. On fifth, Lisandro caught better and decided to commit his last chips. Brown wasn't pleased with his hand as he let it go.

Lisandro: (X-X) / {10-}{3-}{9-}
Brown: (X-X) / {4-}{3-}{Q-}

Lisandro virtually doubles without showdown. He's up to 190,000 with Brown back to 455,000.

Hahn Doubles Through Brown

Albert Hahn
Albert Hahn

Stud

Over to stud now, and a raising war broke out on third street between Chad Brown and Albert Hahn, with the last of Hahn's chips in on fifth street. The boards ran out:

Brown: ({J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}) / {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} / ({3-Diamonds})
Hahn: ({A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}) / {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / ({10-Spades})

Both players made two pair but it was Hahn's aces and treys that were good for the double up. He's up to 350,000 with Brown back to 325,000.

Brown Takes Some Back

Stud

Phil Ivey raised it up on third street with Chad Brown making the call. Brown led the betting on fourth and fifth streets, before Ivey paired up on sixth. Ivey led out with a bet but Brown responded with a raise. Ivey called, but then check-folded the river as Brown took it down.

Ivey: (X-X) / {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} / (X)
Brown: (X-X) / {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} / (X)

Ivey slips back to 950,000 as Brown recovers to 620,000.
