Scott Clements and Antoine Saout got it all in preflop, Saout in commanding shape with versus . The board came meaning the November Niner has doubled his short stack up to 16,400. I'm no mathematician, but I reckon that means Clements has 43,600.

It's Murphy's Law on one of the near tables as Brendan Murphy sends veteran Chau Giang to the rail. It was Murphy who kick-started proceedings, raising his button with . Giang made the call.
After both players had checked the flop, the dealer rolled out a turn onto the felt. Giang led for 2,000, Murphy made it 5,600, Giang pushed for a total of 20,000 and Murphy made the call.
Giang tabled for top pair, but was drawing dead, and following an academic river, joined messieurs Mizrachi and Adams on the rail.

A psychedelically attired Johnny Chan is next on the scrapheap, he was disposed of by Michael Banducci, pocket tens holding up against A-9 all in preflop. "He had 25,000 at the time," revealed Banducci in the aftermath.
Jason Somerville has advanced to the second round, having defeated Andrew "LuckyChewy" Lichtenberger.
John Juanda has fallen, defeated by Jochanan Flink.
And David Williams has moved on as well, making quick work of Jose "Nacho" Barbero.
Leo Wolpert, winner of this event last year, is back to defend his crown in the $10K Heads Up Championship. Wolpert had to defeat eight opponents last year to win the bracelet, just as this year's winner will have to do.
He's drawn John Racener as a first round opponent. Racener has a small edge over Wolpert following the first two 20-minute levels, with 34,000 to 26,000.
With around 1,500 already in the pot, Jonathan Karamalikis and Terrence Chan saw a flop of where Chan led out for a few hundred. Karamalikis raised to 1,500 and Chan called.
On the turn, Chan bet again, this time to the tune of 3,000, and Karamalikis made the call.
The river came the and Chan pushed 8,200 into the middle. Karamalikis, tortured by the decision, rolled his neck and pulled a face that suggested someone had just asked him a complex maths question. Eventually, he arrived at a number and made the call, showing .
On this occasion, however, his calculations were off as Chan showed for the higher straight. As a result, Chan now has 40,000 whilst Karamalikis is down to 20,000.
