Burt Boutin Eliminated in 10th Place ($16,075)

Burt Boutin - 10th place
Burt Boutin - 10th place

Three players made it to the {4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. Burt Boutin bet 25,000 and Kevin MacPhee called. Jose-Luis Velador folded, and they were heads up to the turn.

Turn: {9-Diamonds}

Boutin bet out 75,000, but MacPhee raised pot. It looked like that would be enough to put him all in - but before it was established whether or not MacPhee was all in, Boutin had called.

On their backs.

Boutin: {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a flush draw and two pair, jacks and fives
MacPhee: {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for an open-ended straight draw and a lower two pair, jacks and fours

River: {8-Clubs} giving MacPhee a higher two pair than Boutin's - jacks and eights

"F***," said Boutin, loudly and with feeling.

With that, Boutin took 10th place and Kevin "ImaLuckSac" MacPhee virtually doubled to 630,000.

"That guy's a luck sack!" cried someone at the rail. Indeed.

Mitchin'

Pot-Limit Hold'em

Kevin MacPhee bet out 42,000 on the {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and James Mitchell called.

The action on the {a-Clubs} turn went check-check; the action on the {2-Clubs} river however went check from MacPhee, 70,000 from Mitchell. There was a brief pause as MacPhee considered his options. Eventually he decided to fold, and Mitchell raked in the pot.

Joshua Tieman Eliminated in 11th Place ($16,075)

Pot-Limit Hold'em

From under the gun, Craig Gray made it 30,000 to go. Victor Ramdin was in the cutoff seat and reraised to 100,000 straight. Action then folded to the short-stacked Joshua Tieman in the big blind and he tanked for some time, deciding whether or not to put his money in. Eventually, he called all in for his last 45,000. Gray then re-shipped it for 228,000 total and Ramdin went into the tank. After a few minutes, Ramdin folded.

Tieman held the {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Gray the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Gray boomed his way up to about 400,000 in chips and Tieman was eliminated.
