Little to Nothing

Jon Little, already an extremely short stack, found himself crippled to just 3,000 after doubling up an even shorter tablemate.

Little: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
All-in shortie: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Board: a pretty decisive {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Little's last 3,000 chips went in with a speculative {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} on the button the very next hand, but smacked right into {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} in the blinds.

There was an initial glimmer of hope for Little on the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, but the turn and river ran out {3-Hearts} and {j-Diamonds} to send him to the rail.
