Flushed Away

Allen Bari: {X}{X}{X}/{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
David Warga: {X}{X}{X}/{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The aforementioned players reached seventh street where Bari led for a single bet and Warga called. "Flush?" inquired Warga. Bari revealed {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} in the hole. Warga mucked his hand.

Although Warga has dipped to 170,00, Allen Bari's stack continues to head north; he now has 245,000.

Tremblay Not Afraid

Odette Tremblay, who was chip leader at the end of Day 2, is now among our shortest stacks. She picked up a few extra chips from Karina Jett, though.

Jett's hand read {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts} when Tremblay attempted to bet out 10,000 on fifth street, her own board reading {4-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Jett sat there for a while looking confused until someone pointed out to Tremblay that the bet should be 20,000. Tremblay duly corrected her mistake and Jett folded.

Jett stayed on over 400,000. Tremblay nudged her stack up to 95,000.

Allyn Marshall Eliminated in 15th Place ($6,763)

Odette Tremblay: {X}{X}{X}/{2-Spades}
David Levi: {X}{X}{X}/{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Allyn Marshall: {X}{X}{X}/{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Jason Estock: {X}{X}{X}/{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Plenty of action on this hand (deep breath):

Third street: Tremblay brought in, Levi completed, Marshall called, Estock raised, Tremblay folded, Levi called, Marshall called.

Fourth street: Marshall checked, Estock bet, Levi called, Marshall called.

Fifth street: We didn't catch the action on fifth.

Sixth street: Levi bet, Marshall called, Estock called.

Seventh street: Levi bet, Marshall called all in, Estock called.

Tremblay: {folded third street}
Levi: {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Marshall: {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Estock: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Sooooooo, this meant that Levi took the low by a gnat's pubic hair with A-3-5-6-7; Estock took the high with two pair, kings and threes; and Marshall took nothing except his bus fare home.

Phew. Next hand.

Brandon Cantu Eliminated in 17th Place ($5,607)

Brandon Cantu - 17th place
Brandon Cantu - 17th place

After a plucky performance of Braveheart proportions, multiple bracelet winner Brandon Cantu has been eliminated at the hands of Jonathan Bascom with a final hand of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Although he made queens and sevens, Cantu ultimately required his flush draw to come in as Bascom finished up with {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a superior two pair, aces and eights. Dead man's hand... gulp.

Bascom now up to 270,000.
