Katchalov Climbing Back More

Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Eugene Katchalov was a river card away from being sent home a few moments ago. He smacked his miracle to stay alive and now has even more chips.

On the flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, David "Bakes" Baker bet out and Katchalov called. After the {10-Spades} paired the board on the turn, Baker bet and Katchalov called again.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and Baker checked. Katchalov bet out and Baker made the call.

Katchalov revealed the {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the ace high flush in hearts and Baker mucked. Katchalov is now up to 173,000 chips.

Jordan Morgan Busto

We're on the exact money bubble now after the elimination of Jordan Morgan. Five people, including the all-in Morgan, took a flop of {7-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}. Two bets went in with three of the side-pot players going to the {q-Hearts} turn. Only one bet went in there. The {9-Hearts} river was checked down. Morgan tabled a total airball, {a-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {k-Spades} {5-Hearts}. That was easily bested by Sergei Altbregin's full house, {a-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {8-Spades}, eights full of sevens.

With Morgan's elimination, hand-for-hand play will begin.

Dale Phillips Bubbles

We have our bubble boy. Dale Phillips was all in pre-flop for his last 16,000 and called by Eugene Katchalov and Jean Robert Bellande. They both checked a {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} flop. Bellande bet the {2-Spades} turn and the {j-Clubs} river. Katchalov called the turn bet but folded to the river bet.

At showdown for the main pot, Bellande showed {j-Spades} {j-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {4-Spades}, a full house, jacks full of sevens. It was way good against Phillips' {a-Spades} {k-} {2-} {8-}.

The clock, having reached the end of the level a short time, has been paused while hand-for-hand play continued. Now that the bubble has burst, the field is re-drawing and the clock will be re-started. We'll have the new draw momentarily.

Dan Heimiller Eliminated in 27th Place ($17,138)

Dan Heimiller - 27th Place
Dan Heimiller - 27th Place

On the flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Sammy Farha checked and then Dan Heimiller bet. Jean-Robert bellande called, John D'Agostino called and then Farha also called.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and Farha bet out. Heimiller called all in, Bellande called and then D'Agostino called.

The river card completed the board with the {7-Spades}. Farha checked, Bellande checked, D'Agostino bet, Farha called and Bellande called. D'Agostino tabled the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to win the low half of the side pot. Farha won the high half with the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Both of those hands were also good to chop up the main pot and chop out Heimiller.

Farha Ready to Gamble

Sammy Farha
Sammy Farha

Sam Farha's in a great mood. He has 375,000 and is joking around with his table.

"I'm playing so bad," he said. "I'm going to play any four cards and if I hit a pair you can't get me out."

Farha played the next hand along with michael Chow and John D'Agostino. On a flop of {k-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {6-Clubs}, Farha checked to Chow. His bet was called in turn by D'Agostino and Farha.

The {j-Spades} hit the turn. Farha and Chow both checked to D'Agostino, then called his bet. All three players checked the {5-Spades} river. Chow won the low with {a-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {6-Spades} {8-Spades}; Farha, true to his word, won the high with {k-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}, two pair, kings and fives.

"Don't write that hand down," Farha told our reporter.

Katchalov Knocked Back Down By Rheem

Chino Rheem raised from middle position and Eugene Katchalov called from the small blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Katchalov check-called a bet from Rheem. The turn added the {3-Hearts} to the board and Katchalov led out this round. Rheem called. The river was checked by both players after the {10-Clubs} fell.

Katchalov mucked his hand after Rheem showed the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and scooped the pot. He's back up to 225,000 in chips while Katchlov dropped to 70,000.
