Chan Can Make Two Pair

We picked up the action in this heads-up pot just as the dealer was flopping {4-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} out on board. Terrence Chan checked and called a bet before the {5-Diamonds} landed on fourth street. When the unknown player fired again, Chan raised, and his opponent called the extra bet.

The last card off was the {J-Spades}, and Chan's river bet was quickly called.

He turned up {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} for two pair, pipping his opponent's {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Aces up gives Chan the pot and a chip boost to 8,100.
