Good Call Sir!

Al Barbieri raised it up UTG, and got both Brian Meinders and Dutch Boyd to call out of the blinds.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Meinders checked to Boyd, who bet. Barbieri folded, and then Meinders raised, and Boyd re-raised. Meinders made the call and the two saw the {5-Diamonds} hit on the turn.

Meinders led out, Boyd raised and Meinders made the call.

The river was the {8-Spades} and both players checked. Meinders showed the {a-}{10-Hearts}, and Boyd mucked his hand. Meinders stacked up about 505,000 after the hand, and Boyd was down to 290,000

Meinders Fills Up

Brian Meinders raised to open the pot, and Albert Minnullin made it three bets. Meinders was the lone caller, and the flop came out {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}. Minnullin bet, and Meinders made the smooth call.

The turn came the {4-Hearts}, and Minnullin fired again before Meinders raised to 48,000. His raise was called, and so was his last bet on the {A-Clubs} river. At showdown, Meinders tabled {A-Spades} {7-Clubs} for sevens full, and that was good enough to earn him the pot.

He moves up to about 320,000, while Minnullin takes a step back to about 490,000.

Minnullin Extends His Lead

On a {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, Al Barbieri bet and got raised by Albert Minnullin. Barbieri made the call, and the two went to the turn which dropped the {3-Diamonds}.

Both players checked the turn, and when the {k-Diamonds} hit on the river Barbieri check-called a bet from Minnullin and then showed {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} which was no good against Minnullin's {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Al and Albert Copy Each Other

Al Barbieri raised from the button, and Albert Minnullin reraised from the small blind. Barbieri called, and the two men took a {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} {3-Spades} flop. Minnullin fired out a bet, and Barbieri quickly called.

The turn came the {J-Diamonds}, and Minnullin's big bet was almost beaten into the pot by Barbieri's call. That led to the {6-Clubs} river, and both players check-checked.

Minnullin tabled {A-Spades} {10-Spades}, and Barbieri {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}, and they'll chop it up with the copy hands.

We're Off!

The players have been relocated and introduced, and we've learned that Julian Parmann would like to be known as Art. With all of the logistics out of the way, Art and the other five players have taken their seats behind their stacks, and the cards are in the air at the final table.

There are 23 minutes left in the level.

Final Table Draw

Here's how our final table is set up to begin play:

Seat 1: Brian Meinders (157,000)
Seat 2: Dutch Boyd (543,000)
Seat 3: Al Barbieri (561,000)
Seat 4: Albert Minnullin (574,000)
Seat 5: Art Parmann (551,000)
Seat 6: Domenico Denotaristefani (485,000)

Time to Move

JJ Liu - 7th Place
JJ Liu - 7th Place

With that double knockout, we've gone right ahead and set our final table of six. The chips have been bagged up, and this whole show is moving over to the secondary featured table on the other side of the room. We're heading over to get set ourselves set up, and we'll be right back with some chip counts and a table draw.

Play should resume in about twenty minutes.

Anh Le Eliminated in 8th Place, JJ Liu Eliminated in 7th Place ($21,991 apiece)

Anh Le - 8th place
Anh Le - 8th place

JJ Liu raised from the cutoff, opening the proverbial can of worms. On the button, Anh Le three-bet, and Julian Parmann reraised to four bets from the small blind. When it came back to Liu, she asked if she could raise again, and she went ahead and capped it at 60,000 total. Le called, leaving herself just 2,000 behind, and Parmann called the extra bet to go three ways to the very expensive flop.

It came out {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, and Parmann fired out a quick bet. Liu called, and Le was reluctant to put her last two chips into the pot. She almost talked herself into folding, but she finally flicked them into the middle to put herself at risk.

That led to the {10-Spades} turn, and Parmann fired again. Liu thought it over for a few seconds before moving all in for her last 44,000 total chips. Parmann called the extra 20,000, and with both of our remaining ladies now at risk, the cards were on their backs:

Liu: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Le: {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}
Parmann: {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}

Parmann had flopped his lucky seven, and he was one card away from the double knockout. Le was already drawing dead, and in fact, she didn't even want to show her hand before the dealer made her table it. Liu just sat quietly, shaking her head in disbelief. The river was a blank {A-Diamonds}.

That sends Le out in 8th place officially, and JJ Liu out in seventh. On a day in which the Ladies' Event final table is playing out under the bright lights of the main stage, we ironically lose both of our ladies just shy of making their own final table berths. Both ladies put on impressive runs here this week, but both of them will go home early today. On their way out the door, both will stop by the cashier to pick up their checks for $21,991.
