Hines' Sneaky Play Rewarded

Cheryl Hines limped in middle position and was followed by another player. All of a sudden the button went all in for 1,525 with Hines being the only caller.

Hines: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Hines' opponent had a lot of catching up to do, but Hines managed to stay ahead as the board ran out {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and is now up to 4,900.

Michelle Tries For The Knockout, Stumbles

We arrived just in time to see Tiffany Michelle bet 275 into a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} from the small blind. The big blind moved all in for 550 with both a player in middle position and Michelle making the call.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and both remaining players checked. However, Michelle bet 600 into the {3-Hearts} turn. The middle position player said "Gee, I thought I'd be here longer than this today," and then made the call.

Michelle: {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Middle position player: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The all-in player mucked, while the middle position player didn't have to worry about going home early.

Man Down! Fohrenbach Eliminated

Alexis Gilbard is to thank for the latest round of applause around the room. Gilbard raised to 225 from the small blind and Ricky Fohrenbach shoved from the big blind for 1,925. Gilbard called with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and had Fohrenbach's {A-}{8-} crushed. The {Q-}{10-}{9-}{2-}{10-} board did not save Fohrenbach and he is out, much to the delight of the remaining field.

Alexis Gilbard is up to 6,250 after the hand.

Break Time

The first break of the day has been extended to 30 minutes. We assume it's in preparation for the huge bathroom lines that are sure to form.

Thomas Makes Huge Fold

We got to the scene on a board reading {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The player in the big blind had bet 100 and PokerStars Team Online player Amanda "Roxy24" Thomas raised to 350 with the big blind calling.

The river was the {5-Hearts}. Thomas bet 575, leaving just 1,000 behind. The big blind raised, putting herself all in and Thomas folded. Thomas claimed she had {a-}{j-} upon seeing the {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} of her opponent.

Thomas may have made the right move, but she's currently hurting with only 1,000 in chips left.
