Vladimir Schmelev opened with a raise to 75,000 from early position with Robert Mizrachi making the call on the button. They went to a flop of and Schmelev checked over to Mizrachi who moved 150,000 into the middle. Schmelev made the call.
The turn was the where it went check, check, before things got busy on the river. Schmelev teased with a small bet of 100,000 before Mizrachi plonked a stack of green/orange chips into the middle to announce a raise to 500,000. Schmelev only took a moment to match the bet but mucked when Mizrachi showed for the nut straight.
A huge 1.5 million chip pot heads to Mizrachi as he climbs to a total of 2.6 million and the tournament chip lead, as Schmelev is back to 1.5 million.
