Healthy Triple Draw Pot For Schmelev

2-7 Triple Draw:

Vladimir Schmelev opened with a raise from middle position before John Juanda put in a three-bet. James Van Alstyne cold-called from the button as the blinds stepped aside. The action was back with Schmelev who put in a four-bet with both opponents making the call.

Schmelev drew one while Juanda and Van Alstyne drew two. Schmelev came out with a bet and both opponents made the call as a big pot was brewing.

Schmelev was satisfied with his hand and stood pat. Juanda wasn't as convincing as he took two, while Van Alstyne discarded one.

Again the action was bet, call, call, before the third and final draw. Once again Schmelev stood pat, with both opponents taking one each. The action was checked down and Schmelev revealed a 8-7-6 which was good as both of his opponents mucked their holdings.

Schmelev is now up to 830,000. Van Alstyne slips to 720,000 with Juanda down to 350,000.
