Buchanan Can't Shake Everyone

Stud:

Buchanan - (X)(X) / {a-Spades} {8-Spades} {j-Clubs} {6-Spades} / (X)
Antonius - (X)(X) / {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {4-Spades} {5-Spades} / (X)
Kostritsyn - (X)(X) / {8-Diamonds} {j-Hearts} {k-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} / (X)
Mortensen - (X)(X) / {10-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} F

Shawn Buchanan looked like he was determined to just bulldoze his way to a winner in a multi-way stud pot. He completed on third street and was called by each of Patrik Antonius, Alexander Kostritsyn and Carlos Mortensen. Buchanan led fourth street and fifth street, then raised sixth street when Antonius made an open pair. Antonius finally folded to Buchanan's river bet, but Kostritsyn did not. He called with {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {j-Spades} in the hole, two pair, jacks and tens. Buchanan could only muster {a-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} for a pair of aces.

That very nice pot pushed Kostritsyn up to 315,000 in chips. Buchanan is down to just 35,000.
