Harmetz Reports to the Rail

Pot-Limit Omaha:

PLO has quickly ssumed the title of "widowmaker" in this tournament. Dan Harmetz, Ted Forrest and Brian Hastings were three to a flop of {9-Hearts} {7-Spades} {5-Spades}. Harmetz, the small blind, had first action and opened for 14,000. Forrest, the big blind, raised that bet to 39,000. Hastings then moved all in for more than 100,000.

Harmetz had only another 41,000 behind his bet and quickly put it in the middle. Forrest tanked muh, much longer before finally releasing his hand. At showdown, Harmetz was drawing with the nut flush draw, {a-Clubs} {a-Spades} {8-Spades} {2-Clubs}, against Hastings' {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {6-Spades}, the nut straight. The board bricked out, ending Harmetz's tournament.

Hastings is now among the chip leaders with 340,000.
