Mikael Thuritz has the button in Seat 2. He opens for 100,000, and Vlardimir Schmelev three-bets to 400,000 from the small blind. Thuritz folds and Schmelev wins the pot.
2010 World Series of Poker
The button is with David Baker in Seat 1. Daniel Alaei comes in raising for 120,000 from early position and play folds around to Robert Mizrachi who re-raises to a total of 340,000. The blinds step aside and it's back on Aleai who quickly lays it down.
Robert Mizrachi has the button in Seat 8. The action folds to Michael Mizrachi, who raises to 95,000. David Baker calls. The flop is and Baker checks to Mizrachi, who bets 115,000. Baker calls. The turn is the and both players check. The river is the and Baker leads out for 275,000. Mizrachi calls.
Baker shows for the rivered set and wins the pot.
The first button of this final table is with David Oppenheim in Seat 7. With the blinds kicking off at 10,000/20,000/40,000, the action folds around to John Juanda who raises it up to 120,000 and takes down the blinds and antes uncontested.

Ante: 10,000
Jack Effel is on the mic introducing our final table players. So far David Baker and the Mizrachi brothers have the most vocal cheering sections-- Baker's populated by a number of his fellow online pros and Panorama Towers neighbors, while the entire Mizrachi family is here to cheer on Robert and Michael. Mama Mizrachi's voice carries the furthest of anyone in the room right now!
And away we go! Shuffle up and deal!
Only two of our eight final table players are sponsored (Team Full Tilt member John Juanda and Full Tilt Pro David Oppenheim), meaning that the other six were up for grabs when it comes to slapping patches and logos on their shirts. Naturally, a few of them were snapped up late last night, as the $50K is one of only three events being televised on ESPN this year.
Wearing PokerStars gear today are David Baker, Daniel Alaei, and Vladimir Schmelev while Mikael Thuritz is donning a Full Tilt patch. Neither Mizrachi brother is patched up by a major online room but both are donning patches from North 88 Outdoor, a Las Vegas patio furniture company (first time for everything, I suppose).
The audience is packed, the final table players have unbagged their chips, photographers are circling the table and the ESPN television crew is undergoing their final preparations. We're waiting on one more final table player to finish up his pre-game interviews before getting underway. We'll set the line at 20 minutes more before "Shuffle up and deal."
One more little piece of business. Although this has been an 8-Game tournament for the last four days, the final table will be all No-Limit Hold'em. This was the case in the first year the $50K Players' Championship was added to the WSOP in 2006, but was switched back to H.O.R.S.E. in 2007. Now that the $50K is back on TV, the final table format is back to the more viewer-friendly NLHE.
Welcome back to the Amazon Room at the Rio Hotel and Casino, and to the ESPN Feature Table for the first time in 2010, for the final day of the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship. The stage has a familiar feel to it, with bright lights shining and TV cameras ready to roll. There's an eerie silence here right now, like the calm before the storm. All we need are eight poker players and a mass of crazy poker fanatics to cheer their boys home.
It's a stellar lineup as you would expect from a world-class field such as this. PokerNews' own Matthew Parvis took a closer look at the lineup and what we might expect from today's final table in his $50,000 Poker Player's Championship Final Table Preview.
The final table brings a fantastic mix of experience and youth, with a truly International flavor. We will be led into battle today by Robert Mizrachi, who continued the dominance of the Mizrachi brothers in this event by grabbing the overnight chip lead. We're expecting the brothers to have a big support crew here today and make a big impact on this final table.
However they won't have it easy with the experience of John Juanda, Daniel Alaei, David Baker and the short-stacked David Oppenheim lurking, and the unknown quantities of Mikael Thuritz and Vladimir Schmelev to contend with.
Here's a look at the official final table seating assignments and chip counts:
Seat 1: David Baker - 3,095,000
Seat 2: Mikael Thuritz - 2,300,000
Seat 3: Vladimir Schmelev - 1,925,000
Seat 4: John Juanda - 2,620,000
Seat 5: Daniel Alaei - 1,705,000
Seat 6: Michael Mizrachi - 2,620,000
Seat 7: David Oppenheim - 460,000
Seat 8: Robert Mizrachi - 3,125,000
The action is scheduled to kick off at 3pm local time which is just over 30 minutes from now. We look forward to your company this afternoon, this evening, and probably tomorrow morning, as we look to award one of the most coveted trophies in the game, the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
