Series of Doubles for Richey

Brett Richey was in for his last 700 and Brandon Cantu raised to 2,300 to isolate. Everyone else folded and then both players drew one. Richey made a {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{2-} beat Cantu's {10-}{7-}{6-}{5-}-X.

Two hands later, Richey was all in again for 2,500. The player from the small blind called and then drew one. Richey stood pat. Richey held a {J-}{10-}{8-}{6-}{2-} and his opponent a {Q-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}.

On the next hand, Richey was all in again 6,000. Brandon Cantu mucked in the next seat, but there was an issue. Frank Kassela saw Cantu muck and pointed out that he had six cards. The cards in the muck added up to six meaning Cantu was dealt six cards. The players argued about the hand being a misdeal, but it was ruled that because there were two actions - Richey's shove and Cantu's muck - the hand was live. Freddy Deeb was in the small blind and called. Richey stood pat with the {10-}{9-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and Deeb drew one to a {9-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. He drew a {J-} and had the worst hand, doubling Richey up for the third time within minutes. He's now back to about 13,000 chips.
