Hellmuth Plays The Game Differently

On a {5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop with about 35,000 in the middle, Manelic Minaya and Phil Hellmuth checked to see the {3-Diamonds} turn card. Minaya bet 15,000 and Hellmuth called, landing the {5-Clubs} on the river. Minaya checked and Hellmuth checked behind, quietly tabling {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Minaya mucked and is down to 112,000, while Hellmuth chipped up to just over 100,000. Recent bracelet winner James Dempsey commented, "It must be nice to get those big pairs." Hellmuth responded, "I play the game differently than the rest of the world."
