Williamson Doubles; Roberts Gone

On a flop of {8-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Spades}, Robert Williamson III moved all in for 20,400. Anthony Licastro called with two pair, {8-} [9x.

"What do you have?" he asked Williamson. Williamson tabled {j-Hearts} {8-Hearts} for one pair and a draw.

"I have lots of outs," said Williamson.

"You can't get lucky on me every time." Maybe not, but Williamson got lucky this time. Not with the turn {2-Diamonds}, but with the river {q-Spades}, which made a straight for Williamson. He doubled up to 51000.

A short time later, at a different table, Ben Roberts was eliminated. He moved in with {a-Clubs} {7-Clubs} and said, "Let's see a miracle" after Julien Nuijten called with {A-Spades} {k-Spades}.

"Let's not," said Nuijten.

There was no miracle for Roberts. The board rolled out {4-Spades} {q-Spades} {q-Clubs} {8-Spades} {6-Hearts}, improving neither player. Nuijten's kicker held to send Roberts to the rail.
