Brady Makes a Good Call

From the hijack seat, Matt Brady raised to 5,500 and found one caller on the button. Everyone else folded and the flop came down {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Hearts}. Brady checked and his opponent checked.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and both players checked again.

The river brought the {10-Diamonds} and Brady tapped the table once more. His opponent tossed out a bet of 16,000. Brady paused and then made the call.

"Good call." said the player before Brady turned over {6-Spades} {3-Spades} for two pair, but a very low two pair. His opponent mucked and Brady is up to 176,000.

After the hand, Brady chatted with one of our reporters and let him know that he was up to around 230,000 at one point, but lost a big chunk set over set on a {J-?} {9-?}-X board. Brady held pocket nines and his opponent pocket jacks. Somehow, Brady was able to lose what he deemed to be the minimum when he should have gone broke.
