FBT Can Do No Wrong

Greg Mueller and ESPN commentator Norman Chad

It's been a good summer for Greg "FBT" Mueller and so far the Main Event has been an excellent capper.

First we saw Mueller limp involved in a heads-up pot that had been raised preflop by the small blind. On a flop of {A-Spades} {4-?} {A-Diamonds} the small blind moved in for his last 5,875. It was an easy call for Mueller with {A-Hearts} {8-Clubs}. The small blind showed down {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and did not improve.

A few hands later, Mueller was the player in the blinds for a heads-up flop of {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs}. He checked and called a bet of 3,250 from his lone opponent. When the turn brought a third club, the {2-Clubs}, Mueller led into his opponent for 9,000. That player raised to 24,000 and practically before those chips were even in the middle Mueller had reraised all in. His opponent called with {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}, a pair of aces. Mueller showed {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for a made flush and a lock hand.

Those two pots have pushed Mueller's count to 181,000.
