Todd Attacks Passive Play

J.C. Alvarado limped in from the button and Jason Lester called from the small blind. Eugene Todd then raised to 175,000 from the big blind.

Alvarado and Lester fold their hands, giving the pot to Todd.

Not Many Flops

Eric Baldwin limped into the pot from the button and J.C Alvarado completed from the small blind. Jason Lester checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. After a check from Alvarado, Lester bet 120,000. Baldwin and Alvarado give it up and Lester wins the pot.

* This is only the second flop that has been seen this level.

Getting Short

The action was pretty slow and measured in the last level, but the latest increase in blinds is likely to change that.

With eight players left, the average chip stack is just over 1,000,000. With the big blind of 50,000, the players average 20 big blinds in front of them. There are four players below average, and the bottom two are nearing the danger zone with just about 10 big blinds. It won't be long before the parade of knockouts starts marching players out of here.
