Mosseri Puts Brunson on the Short Stack

Booooooo!
Booooooo!
Abe Mosseri (X)(X) {7-Spades} {5-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} (X)
Doyle Brunson (X)(X) {6-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} (X)

Mike Wattel brought it in with the {3-Hearts}, Abe Mosseri completed, Doyle Brunson raised, Wattel folded and Mosseri called. Brunson check-called bets from Mosseri on fourth, fifth, and sixth streets, then checked in the dark on seventh. Mosseri bet and Brunson called.

Mosseri turned up {A-Spades} {K-Spades} {J-?} for an ace-high flush. Brunson had only a pair of jacks and no low, and Mosseri scooped the pot.

Brunson is now the short stack with 190,000.

Big Pot Sees Multiple Chops

Mariani: (X-X) {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} (X)
Mosseri: (X-X) {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} (X)
Rouhani: (X-X) {4-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} (X)

Abe Mosseri bet fourth and fifth, but on fifth, Frank Mariani put in a raise after Farzad Rouhani called. Mariani's raise put him all in. Mosseri then reraised and Rouhani called.

On sixth street, Rouhani bet, Mosseri raised, Rouhani reraised, and then Mosseri called. Both players then checked seventh street.

Mosseri held two pair, kings and jacks, to the high half of the side pot. Rouhani took the low half with an eight-four low. He also took the low half of the main pot. Mariani held aces and queens for the high half of the main pot to stay alive.

Justin "BoostedJ" Smith Eliminated in 8th Place ($54,896)

Justin "BoostedJ" Smith - 8th Place
Justin "BoostedJ" Smith - 8th Place
Yan Chen (X)(X){10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} (X)
Justin Smith (X)(X) {9-?} {2-Spades} {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds} (X)

The pot was limped five ways on third street, but Yan Chen's bet with an open pair of tens on fourth cleared out everyone except Smith, who made the call. Both players checked fifth street and Chen led out on sixth, Smith coming along with a call. Chen bet seventh street and after a long think, Smith called all in for his last 24,000.

Chen turned up {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} for a queen-high flush. Smith had only a pair of aces for high, no low hand and Chen scooped the pot, sending "Boosted J" to the rail in 8th place.

Small One for Doyle

Abe Mosseri (X)(X) {3-Hearts} {J-Spades} {9-Spades}
Doyle Brunson (X)(X){4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {2-Clubs}

Mosseri had the bring-in, Brunson completed, Mosseri raised and Brunson made the call. Brunson check-called a bet from Mosseri on fourth street, then led out on fifth street with a third club showing. Mosseri gave up his hand and Brunson took it down.

It's Barry Greenstein

For the common fan, you're not allowed on or anywhere near the final table stage. Barry Greenstein is not a normal fan though. The well known professional has stopped by the final table arena and chatted it up a little bit with Jeff Lisandro. He's now sitting a few seats down at the media desk hanging out, chatting, and watching the action.

Lisandro Scoops

Jeff Lisandro made two pair on his board, fours and sevens, but held eights in the hole for a higher two pair. Frank Mariani held kings in the hole, but that's it. One pair wouldn't be good enough for Mariani and the pot was shipped over to Lisandro.

Wattel Goes High, Lisandro Goes Low

Mike Wattel (X)(X){7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} (X)
Farzad Rouhani (X)(X) (?) {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}
Jeff Lisandro (X)(X) {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Spades}

Mike Wattel had the bring-in, Farzad Rouhani called, Jeff Lisandro completed and both opponents called. Wattel led out on fourth street and got two calls, then led out again on fifth. Rouhani folded and Lisandro called. Wattel and Lisandro checked down sixth and seventh streets.

Lisandro showed 8-6-5-2-A low, Wattel showed two pair, sevens and fours, and they split the pot.
