Woodward Wins a Pot, Minieri Claims to Be Just a Fish

Things were looking kind of shaky for EPT Grand Final runner up Matt Woodward, but he's made a bit of a recovery.

He and Dario Minieri saw a flop and Minieri check-called a bet from Woodward. In fact Minieri check-called every street of the {8-Spades} {J-Spades} {9-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} board, and Minieri mucked when Woodward showed him pocket tens for the straight to put him up to 27,500.

"Nice hand," said Minieri, "I called ace-high. Ace deuce."

"Really?" asked Woodward laconically.

"Not ace deuce," Minieri u-turned. "I'm just a fish."
