Story Time With Layne Flack

Over at table #60, Layne Flack recenetly told a story about how he may have cheated once in poker when he was younger. "In fact, this may be the one and only time I've ever cheated in poker, but it wasn't really my fault." he said.

According to Layne, the story goes that he was about 20 years old playing a $20-40 game with almost all of his money on the table. The dealer dealt Flack two cards, both deuces. Flack looked at the back of the cards and realized one was brown and one was green, meaning he had a hand from two mixed decks. Figuring he had a better chance of flopping a set, Flack played the hand and covered up the wrong color card. He did in fact flop a set and got paid with a good amount of action.

Revealing his hand at the end was easy because the two deuces weren't off the same suit. But when he had to flip them back over to go into the muck, Layne made sure to do so extremely quickly and then fling them hard into the pile of mucked cards.

Layne went on to say, "I looked at the dealer and said, 'Hey, you've got a brown card in the deck.'"
