Stokes cringed as he saw the worst news possible. His flush draw was no good, but he did have live overcards. The on the turn made the news worse though, as the all-in player was left drawing to a non-heart ten or queen. To his demise, the river was a blank to fill out the board.
Failing to get over the hump, Jamin Stokes has been knocked off in 3rd place, just shy of the final match. Stokes took out Johnny Chan in an epic duel in the previous round, and his match with Wolpert was no easy task either. It was a roller coaster ride, with Stokes nearly felted several times. He had just managed to battle back very close to even before his final match ended, as his winning opponent had him covered by just a few small chips.
