Keeping a Finne Above Water

Stud-8

Tim Finne has been battling with the short stack for most of this final table, and he just survived another all-in clash. He was all in on fourth street against Zac Fellows and Chris Amaral who checked until the river where Fellows' bet was tank-called by Amaral.

Finne: ({6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}) {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Amaral: ({J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}) {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Fellows: ({10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}) {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Fellows made a full house for the high as Finne collected a profit with the low, as Amaral was left caught in the middle.

Van Alstyne Scoops To Take Monster Chip Lead

James Van Alstyne
James Van Alstyne
Stud-8

James Van Alstyne completed and then fired bets on every street in a Stud-8 hand against Michele Limongi who called him down.

Van Alstyne: ({2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}) {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Limongi: ({J-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}) {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Incredibly Van Alstyne scooped with his ace-king-high playing for the high and his six-low good also.

The huge pot takes Van Alstyne up to 2.275 million and a commanding lead over the field.

Martin Eikeng Eliminated in 6th Place ($48,590)

Martin Eikeng - 6th Place
Martin Eikeng - 6th Place
Stud

Martin Eikeng completed before Zac Fellows raised, Eikeng reraised and Fellows popped it up again. Eikeng called and after a few more raises was all in on fourth street.

Before the river was dealt the boards were as follows:

Eikeng: ({A-Spades}{9-Clubs}) {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Fellows: ({J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}) {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Fellows summed up the situation and before revealing his card he rhetorically sighed "Jack?"... and boom, flipped the {J-Diamonds} on the river to the roar of the rail to make a bigger full house!

Eikeng needed to find an ace or the case nine to survive but couldn't only find the case {J-Spades}.

A dramatic end to the tournament for Eikeng as he is eliminated in 6th place for $48,590 as Fellows jumps up to 700,000 to be back in contention!

Zac Fellows

Razz

Martin Eikeng completed before Zac Fellows raised. Eikeng made the call, before leading on fourth street. Fellows called before raising enough on fifth street to put himself all in. Eikeng made the call and the boards ran out:

Eikeng: ({2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}) {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} ({5-Spades})
Fellows: ({A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}) {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} ({4-Diamonds})

Fellows made a seven-low to take it down.

"I play a lot of Razz my friend," chirped Fellows as he jumps back up to 400,000 chips.
